Note, however, that the printed COMAR continues to be the only official and enforceable version of COMAR.

24 Important CMS-1500 form version 02/2012 Notice -
April 1, 2014: Payers will begin to receive and process paper claims submitted ONLY on the revised CMS-1500 form (version 02/2012).

Submitters of the form should follow up with their specific payer(s) regarding their transition timeline and any other payer specific inquiries.
Older versions of the form will no longer be accepted.

Effective October 1, 2013, an employer that fails to secure compensation (workers' compensation insurance) for all covered employees may be subject to a penalty not to exceed $10,000. See Labor & Employment 9-407 (Labor and Employment 9-407 Failure to Insure).
