CompHub Training for Attorney Proxies (Paralegals, etc.) Tuesday, November 7, 2023  Time: 10:00 AM -1:00 PM -  The Commission will conduct an “In Person” training session tailored for paralegals/legal secretaries (Attorney Proxies). 28 Attention CompHub Users: Please note that the Commission has stopped sending out tasks to CH users when requests for continuance, rehearing or change of venue are filed. You will still be able to respond to any of these requests by starting a new process. Select ‘Start New Action’, ‘Hearings’, and then the clipboard icon for ‘All’. Response options are ‘Response to Rehearing Request’, ‘Response to Continuance Request’, and ‘Response to Change of Venue’
27 The Employers' First Report of Injury (IAIABC IA-1) is filed by the employer or their workers' compensation insurance carrier via our CompHub portal.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: This form must only be exactly as published on this WCC website and must be at 100% in size (no scaling) with no modifications or customizations.  No other versions of this form will be accepted.
22 Attention Claimant Attorneys and proxies: The option to file a Claimant’s Consent to Pay Fees and Costs and Claimant’s Affidavit has been removed from the Upload Exhibit process. Please use the stand alone processes. You can locate them by going to Start New Action, selecting Claims and then selecting Claimant’s Consent to Pay Fees and Costs or Claimant’s Affidavit. This process will route directly to a Commissioner’s office relieving you of the necessity to contact the assistant to inform them of the filings.
16 Attorneys, Proxies, Practitioners:   This is a reminder. Prior to adding a new employer to the database, please check to ensure the employer does not already exist. If the employer exists, please use that employer. If the employer does not exist, please proceed to add the employer. Creating a duplicate employer may delay the processing and verification of the claim.
  Attention Vocational Rehabilitation Practitioners: Effective immediately, the process to file vocational rehabilitation plans has been updated in CompHub. To prepare and submit a plan, please select “Start New Action’ and then select ‘Voc Rehab.’ Next Select, ‘Voc Rehab Plan.’ Once the plan has been completed in the template, there will be an opportunity to generate the plan, print it, get signatures and then upload the plan into CompHub. After the signed documents are uploaded, the vocational practitioner should submit the plan to the Commission via CompHub. Please follow the instructions contained in the template. The VR-06 - Selection of Services & Practitioner should still be emailed to [email protected] and prior to submitting the Vocational rehabilitation plan. The Commission has published a video as well as a QuickStart guide in the Knowledge Center on the CompHub landing page. Any questions, please contact Harrison Brooke.

8 The Medical Fee Guide Committee will hold a virtual and in-person meeting Monday November 27, 2023 , 3pm – 5pm. The meeting will be held at the Chesapeake Employers’ Insurance Company at 8722 Loch Raven Blvd. Towson, MD 21122.

Workers' Compensation Appeals is updated
3 Pursuant to the requirements of the Open Meetings Act, the Commission hereby gives notice that we will hold the Commissioners' meeting scheduled for November 9, 2023 in the 7th floor Executive Conference Room at 10 E. Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21202, starting at 9:30 am. If you would like to attend this meeting, please send an email to [email protected] no later than 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, to allow time for the Commission to plan for your attendance at the meeting.
2 Calendar Year 2024 Medical Fee Guide Maryland Specific Conversion Factor (MSCF) information is posted on the Medical Fee Guide Info page.
1 Effective Wednesday, 11/01/23, the Commission will stop the issuance of duplicate paper copies to all attorneys and insurers and any other entity who has signed up to receive E notice. Starting Wednesday, the Commission will only send these entities electronic notices.
