Effective September 1, 2013, the Commission will accept workers' compensation form filings via SERFF. At present, the Commission will continue to accept paper filings but insurers and authorized filers are encouraged to transition to the use of SERFF as soon as possible.

Workers' compensation form filings must be made with the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission.  The Commission does not charge a filing fee for workers' compensation forms.

Workers' compensation rate and rule filings must be made with the Maryland Insurance Administration, which also utilizes the SERFF platform.

8 Practitioners: Note that the Commission has posted information concerning carriers in liquidation and contact information for the Maryland Property & Casualty Insurance Guaranty Corporation (PCIGC) as well as the Receiver for the carrier. If you have a question regarding a claims payment, please contact PCIGC. Do not implead the Uninsured Employers' Fund or PCIGC into the case.  List and contact details are posted to our Insolvent Carriers web page.
